Lester Senior Housing Community in Whippany Offers Respite Stays for Seniors

Memory Care Suite apartment

Short-Term Stays from 10 Days to Two Months are Available in Assisted Living Residence and Memory Care Suite

With the winter holidays (and vacations) coming, the Lester Senior Housing Community invites seniors to sample the Lester lifestyle with a short-term respite stay in the Judy & Josh Weston Assisted Living Residence. These accommodations are for seniors who need some help with the tasks of daily living while a caregiver is unavailable or when family members are away for short periods of time and cannot look in on their loved ones.

The respite stays are available for anywhere from 10 days to two months and provide a true home away from home amid luxury surroundings. Older adults with cognitive impairments may also enjoy a respite stay in the community’s intimate Memory Care Suite, where caregivers provide personalized dementia care that supports each resident’s needs for comfort — and give their loved ones peace of mind.

Respite stays at Weston Assisted Living Residence include many of the amenities that full-time residents enjoy:

  • A fully decorated apartment with kitchenette, equipped with local telephone and basic cable TV service.

  • Three delicious meals a day with other residents in the elegant dining room.

  • An assistance alert pendant to request help.

  • Wellness services from the professional nursing team.

  • Full range of programming, from exercise classes to brain games, creative arts to lectures.

  • Transportation on the complimentary shuttle bus to area shopping centers and scheduled outings.

  • Beauty salon/barber shop.

Respite-stay residents who would like to make Lester Senior Housing Community their permanent home may do so based on availability.
